American Wheels: An introduction to the Studebaker Legacy covers the history of the only American wagon manufacturer to successfully transition to a car company. Presenter Bob Muller will share the history of the Studebaker, from the family’s 1736 immigration to America, the sale of their first covered wagon in 1852, their involvement in western expansion, the industrial revolution, and multiple war efforts. Studebaker represented the “American Dream” with their many popular and innovative automobiles. Since the end of their automobile manufacturing in 1966, the Studebaker continues to be of interest in restoring and collecting all things Studebaker.

There will be Studebakers on display!

About Our Speaker

Mr. Muller, best known for his work on Long Island lighthouse history and preservation, grew up in a family of automobile enthusiasts. As a child, he spent much time in the garage of his brother Henry, who owned and restored many Studebakers. He is currently working on a book of Studebaker history, and restoring a 1962 Studebaker Lark Regal convertible.
